What time is it? Summertime, it's our vacation What time is it? Party time, that's right, say it loud What time is it? The time of our lives, anticipation What time is it? Summertime, school's out scream and shout Hehehehe so High School Musical 2, so cheesy starring Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale. Hey! but I am a Disney freak so literally, school is out for summer. So this past year, spent my Mondays for the first semester; which was Fall 2013 then Fridays in Winter 2014 and back to Mondays Summer 2014 volunteering. I spent my day volunteering at a elementary school called “Edmonds elementary school” helping out in a kindergarten class. The tasks I did were helping one student pay attention, so basically like a educational assistant. put homework in duo tangs, read a story book to the class, basically help out in any way possible. I am honestly, so grateful I got a chance to help out. Being in a kindergarten class, at times I feel like “I’m a big kid now.” A kindergartener’s life is so carefree, they colour, learn to write the alphabet, listen to stories weather it be in the library or in class. Fun fun fun all day everyday. #WishinIWasBackInKindergarten Another thing I learnt was, working in a school where children live in a low income neighbourhood, there were ALOT of benefits.
Being in a kindergarten class, also made me realize how on earth am I going to be a teacher. I really hate children who tattletale all day everyday. It really bugs me when someone gets picked on, but they didn’t do anything sometimes. MA-ventures (Ma adventures) I am so lucky to know someone in the teaching industry, here are a few pictures, videos what I like to call #memory. "Edmonds Elementary School" used to be a High School, so there lockers were not to big, not to small. Growing up I heard rumours, that when you enter High School big scary teenagers could stuff you in lockers. But the school I went to had a top/bottom locker so it was not true. But volunteering at this school, since the lockers were medium sized, I wanted to try…….. Vlogs:

Okay…. So…. February.2, 2014 *I am sitting in the old basement changing my phone*. I am also waiting for Baby Jonas to be born. Well remember in a blog couple weeks ago, I mentioned how on Sunday I said I was going to find a classroom that I fit into? Well I’m a scar-dy cat. Yup I’m a shy little kitty cat who’s afraid. What if no one accepts me for who I am? Well in the end, I ended up overlooking the kindergarten classroom. Let me tell you it was okay…... but those children are so freckle juice smart. One little girl asked me how to spell my name. So I said each alphabetical letter in my name and she spelt my name. So… I don’t know maybe I am rushing myself?!? But it’s alright this Sunday the 9th I get to start my Sunday of attending the Demi Lovato concert with my best friend A.B. My high-school best friend. <3 Then on Friday I end my weekend of spending Valentines Day with Miley Cyrus!!! I am so excited because I never seen these two beautiful ladies in concert before. Anyways Thank You For Reading MaBlog!!! If like check out this week's MaMovie Monday *NeonLights Tour Demi On Drums* Boo :( I’m a sand panda bear. So, I’d never thought I would be writing about this. Honestly I love my job because every single time I’d come home I tell my mommy about my day. But the ministry I serve in at Church, known as the Puppet ministry got cancelled due to low numbers. I have been/served in the program for two years or 4 terms. I am thankful for the opportunities I got to experience, as a teacher’s assistant from photocopying puppet scripts, supervising teenagers and giving them acting advice. I am also thankful for the things I learnt in the class. I think a misconception about puppet class or any other service in church for example teaching children is…. It isn’t a class where you preform for preschoolers and kindergarten classes. Or it isn’t a job where you just teach. But along the way you learn as well. Well for me I learnt a lot from hearing and watching the students/puppets preform. I also learnt a lot teaching/assisting in Summer Sunday School. *That was before I got kicked out -_-.* (By The Way, I’m over that). Any-ways in conclusion I also thank all the people I’ve met in this industry. I am not going to name any names but here are there initials C.C., L.N. last but not least S.L. It’s sad to let this puppet class go when it helped me back on my feet from the whole drama last summer. This sounds cheesy but…. “If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever. If it does’t, then it was never meant to be.” In the end I just want to assure you I am sad but I am staying strong. Right now my plan is to continue to attend morning service with my sister on Sunday mornings. I also hope I can find a class I feel comfortable in and serve in. :) Before I leave, I'll leave you with two images of our Puppet Scripts to take a look at. Oh and enjoy the video I made called "De Cy Paul I'll Always Remember You Puppet Class" At the bottom of the page. Enjoy!!! Thank You For Reading MaBlog!!! My last blog was about how I LOVE my job :) This wasn’t a planned blog but anyways here it goes.
On Sunday November 17/2013, I got to perform a puppet show and I haven’t done it in a long time. This play was a 2 person play, very odd usually at least 3 people are in a play. Anyways I was one of the performers along with *C* one of my students. After our puppet run through, I took my group of boys and our puppet stand up to where we were going to perform which was the third floor. Our puppet class performs to the preschoolers and kindergartens. The skits we do connect to the preschoolers and kindergartens lesson. Any who *C* and I preformed, after our performance the preschool teacher said they may not understand but well done! It was loud and clear. As my group of boys and I were about to leave with our puppet stand. I witnessed the cutest, most adorable thing! *Made my day* The preschool teacher asked if the children could touch the puppets. Obviously I was like “Of Course” told my other two boys little *MC* and *NL* to come behind the puppet stand and hold up the puppets. Hehehehehe :) We had a little Puppet Meet And Greet. Thank You For Reading MaBlog *BTW here is a scan picture of the puppet script I preformed* |
