It breaks my heart to write this, but today the dog I had since 2007 has gone to the rainbow bridge. Furby 2007-September 10, 2015.
I loved him, and I want to take the time to thank him. I want to thank him for teaching me these things. 1. Unconditional love: There were days, I felt like the whole world was against me but he loved me. 2. His love is so big for a tiny dog like him: My mom use to have a German Shepherd, which passed away shortly after she moved out of her mom's house (my grandma). Thinking back, she did not know how much her dog loved her. Seeing Furby at our house the first day, he was scared, his owner had just passed away and he did not want to eat or live. But my mom, ended up making Furby trust her. Furby trusted my mom and I, his previous owners are gone but they are not forgotten. Furby learned to gain new owners we were friends for 10 years. 3. He inspires me and others: I remember shortly after I got my dog, a lot of my friends got dogs as well. I remember some of my mom's friends asked her about dogs. Furby inspired others to be dog lovers, although they shopped instead of adopt he opened up their hearts to become animal lovers. 4. He made shy people like me talk: I am a very shy person, but when talking/meeting new friends I just want to talk about Furby. 5. He Listens: We all need a friend who just sits there and listen without giving any advice. 6. Furby wasn't quiet the healthiest dog, but he was happy and that is what matters the most. 7. He's taught me responsibility: I cleaned up after him, I cleaned up his number 1s and 2s. 8. He may not know how to speak, but those who love dogs will understand: Furby was a smart little dude, he told us when he needed to go number 1 & 2, he told us he does not like a certain kind of dog food and when he wants water he dances around his water bowl. 9. Dog is a man and women's best friend: They say dogs are a man's best friend, but Furby loved my mom and I. Furby did not really like my dad LOL. 10. He taught me about life and death: We all have to go through life and death at some point. Dear Furby, you are gone but not forgotten. You get to eat, play and sleep up at the rainbow bridge. I miss you Furby.
